Written by New Ventures Maine | Published on January 13, 2017Thomas College students are volunteering at the Central Maine CA$H VITA tax clinics again this tax season.
This is a win-win for Central Maine community members and for Thomas College students. Area residents will get their taxes prepared for free by reliable volunteers. Thomas students will gain valuable training and experience as certified volunteer tax preparers.
The most recent issue of Thomas magazine features Accounting student Scott Boies. He shares his love of the Business program at Thomas College, his plans for the future, and his enjoyment of community service.
Scott says of volunteering, “It was good to give back. The people who I filled out the taxes for were so grateful.”
