PORTLAND, Maine — Mainers can file federal taxes for free through the IRS or CA$H Maine, which offers free services for those earning $67,000 or less.

The deadline to file your federal income taxes is April 15. You can file your federal tax returns online for free through the Internal Revenue Service’s Direct File program.

Some Mainers are saving money by having their returns prepared for free, thanks to CA$H Maine.
